Compensation of Academic Loss Programme (CALP)
Academics have always been a priority and every measure was taken to compensate the Academic Loss by the Students for reasons of Regional & National Sports / Participation in Cultural meets / Exhibitions, etc. The Academic loss is compensated with the use of eClassrooms in the form of teacher designed econtent which can be called as tailor made for the slow learners. Making use of Question Papers which aim at gradual improvement of basics and content relevant to exams, frequent tests and material resources for preparation of the Final Exams.
* Monthly Tests are designed keeping in mind the CBSE pattern and blue print and incorporating the important questions.
* To bridge the learning gaps / grey areas, remedial classes in zero periods are planned to improve the performance by giving individual attention.
* The concept of Spiral Teaching is emphasised to reinforce the difficult topics.
* It has been decided to increase the difficulty level of questioning in a phased manner and to improve students’ analytical skills and thinking beyond text.
* Micro Level Training and Collaborative Teaching strategies were discussed in Subject Committee Meeting. The performance was reviewed by the Principal and suggestions were given from time to time.
* It has been the practice to solve last 10 years CBSE Board papers. Questions on most likely questions or important topics are included in practice tests.
* Model answers of the Board Questions are discussed after every Monthly Test / P.T to make the students understand the proper way of answering to score well.
* A step further, taking the feedback from the Parents., the Vidyalaya has planned for Remedial Teaching Session for Slow Learners.
* Decision has been taken to hold Parent Teacher Meeting at every month / after every Monthly Test / PT to appraise student’s progress and to provide necessary help form the Teachers’ side and the Vidyalaya side for the betterment of the students.
